I Got My CapyCoppy!

Ever since reading Capyboppy by Bill Peet when she was little, Girl wanted a capybara. So when we joined twitter and met @CaplinROUS she was super excited. Caplin's website, www.gianthamster.com has all sorts of great pictures and blog posts and answers to questions about capybaras.

Caplin the Capybara passed away quite suddenly on January 4th. Everyone who knew him was deeply saddened and his owner is devastated.

But you can have your own little Caplin--or capycoppy, anyway--and by purchasing one, you help Caplin's person set up a charity in Caplin's name, the ROUS Foundation for Capybara Veterinary Medicine.

  7. Thank you for posting this. The Capycoppies are all sold out but I may design a new one later in the year. Still working with Texas A&M to set up the ROUS Foundation for Capybara Vet Care. I am currently selling Caplin Rous jigsaw puzzles to raise money for the foundation. You can find them at www.CaplinRous.com. Garibaldi Rous is a rescue capybara that I adopted. He is settling in nicely but it's going to be a long time, if ever, that he can do the things Caplin could.
